Center for Specialty Care
Patients who suffer from pelvic floor dysfunctions are often unaware that physical therapy can help alleviate their condition. In addition to effecting daily bladder, bowel and sexual function, it may also impact one’s self esteem and intimacy, and be so debilitating and painful, that it limits one’s activities.
Our licensed physical therapists have specialized post-graduate training in the diagnosis and treatment of women’s and men’s health conditions. We treat musculoskeletal and visceral dysfunctions in and about the pelvis. As a non-invasive treatment approach, physical therapy uses a variety of manual therapy techniques and therapeutic modalities to limit discomfort. An individualized treatment program is designed to meet your specific needs and goals. We will work closely with our referral sources and can coordinate treatment with your health providers.
Successful patients are able to return to normal functional, social, and sexual activities. They also report a renewed sense of self confidence and improved quality of life. Patients who have undergone a surgical procedure such as hysterectomy, prosectomy, caesarian section or vaginal delivery can also benefit from this program.
